2012 Ford Mondeo

Face released ceremony of the 2012 Ford Mondeo was happened in the year 2011. It is also much up to date model than previous models. The designers have changed the overhaul bumper design in this latest model. The light style has also been changed. In case of inside designs of the car, it has been modified to make the door trim and LED design of ambient lighting. This model of car is also carrying 203 PS of advanced engine designs and EcoBoost of 2.0-liter and 240 PS. The 2012 Ford Mondeo is also having 6speed transmission of power shift option for the users. In case of the 2012 Ford Mondeo models the designs have been much focused on the fuel efficiency and better performance features. The advanced engine characteristics of the 2012 Ford Mondeo are helping the designer to progress fuel economy. However, the advanced features like the alert drivers, auto-beam lights, and a speed limiter are offering good experience to the driver to run this car on road.

The new 2012 Ford Mondeo has four or five door hatchback and as the estate, on engine, and upgraded Mondeo with new EcoBoost, 2.2-liter TDCi will make 200bhp and new 2.0liter gasoline engine will make 240bhp mixing with the power shift transmission as well as gives provides 179 g/km of CO2. The new Ford Mondeo has also revised the exterior and the interior electric trains with improved safety features. The 2012 Ford Mondeo type has the diesel, and cars with the diesel fuel will sound the harsh engine sound.

Main reason to buy the diesel engine is cutting the fuel consumption. Most of the owners can just use around 6 to 8 liters hundred kilometers in the country running & on the low speed motorways. The consumption is not likely to go above 9 to 10 liters hundred kilometers even while doing the hard commuting work at heavy traffic. And for interior features the new 2012 Ford Mondeo is very elegant, with six transmission manual, and dashboard design is the multi Botton & stirs right position making that simpler for a driver in maneuvering.

2012 Ford Focus

Engineered primarily by Ford of Europe in Germany, the 2012 Ford Focus is available here in both four-door sedan (as tested) and five-door hatchback configurations. Sharing nothing with its immediate predecessor in North America, it is essentially an updated and reconfigured version of the outgoing Euro-spec second-generation Ford Focus. Buyers in North America missed a generation, instead receiving a badly warmed-over version of the first-generation model. It was bad. Really bad.

But things are off to a good start with this car, which bears little in common other than a name and a general place in the market with its predecessor. We like to be surrounded by nice things, so we anted up for a well-equipped Focus Titanium sedan, the range-topping model in the U.S. Although buyers here want four doors, Ford realized that the two-door coupe Focus it briefly offered here was a flop – so a hatchback is also available once again.

At $25,805 as tested, the Focus Titanium is at the opposite end of cheap. But Ford is banking on buyers moving en masse to compact cars as gasoline prices continue to climb, so it felt the need to offer more luxe than is normally associated with the compact class. It’s a theme we encountered first, arguably, with the Focus’ Mazda3 platformmate, and it’s something we’re also seeing from the Chevrolet Cruze and the Hyundai Elantra.

Ford f 150

Ford f 150
The F-150 is undoubtedly the most popular among the F-Series – a series of pick-up trucks from the stables of Ford Motor Company. The F-150 happens to be the best-selling truck in the United States of America for over three decades. The F-series alone made up half of the profits of the Ford Motor Company in recent years. The F-150 was launched in 1975 – it was also called the heavy half ton by people. The eleventh generation of the F-series encompasses the 2006 model of the Ford F-150. The F-150 had been redesigned in 2004 with the new P2 platform. The 2006 model of the F-150 has a 4.6 litre Triton V8 engine – some of the newer trucks also have 3-valve, 5.4 litre 3V Triton V8 engines. The 2006 F-150 comes equipped with a four speed automatic transmission, along with a five speed manual transmission and the truck produces a whopping 300 HP. The pick-up is available both as a two door and a four door truck, and its side windows have an appearance similar to that of the Ford Super-Duty – the "Y" dip towards the front of the door. The F-150 also has a large closed loop design in its front tow hook, and can pull over 14,000 kg with just one hook. The F-150 is head and shoulders above its competitors, winning accolades including the Car and Driver magazine’s ‘Best Pick-up Truck’ award two years in a row. The 2006 model of the F-150 was also chosen as the ‘Fleet Truck of the Year’ by Business Fleet magazine as well as Automotive Fleet.Even though you’re always on the lookout for cheap deals, there is no substitute for class – and the Ford F-150 simply oozes class. 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid

America Does It Better

Well-known hybrids like the Toyota Prius or Honda Insight sacrifice a lot to achieve big fuel-sipping numbers. But mid-size sedans like the Toyota Camry Hybrid, Nissan Altima Hybrid and Ford Fusion Hybrid make fewer concessions. They combine an admirable thrift with greater interior space and more standard convenience features. Aimed squarely at family car shoppers who want better economy – but still need a roomy, mid-size car that's comfortable enough for everyday use – the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid ushers in a new era of American fuel efficiency.

Smart gauges

While the conventional Fusion's interior and dash layout won't get mistaken for a luxury car, the Hybrid's equivalent is a few notches above. Only this model gets Ford's SmartGauge LCD instrument panel. The electronic dials and information display are almost as entertaining as they are functional. There are several different modes that help drivers keep tabs on the eco-friendliness (or otherwise) of their motoring habits, as well as a battery charge meter, power output and more typical readouts like a rev counter and an engine temperature gauge. The SmartGauge can even display fuel economy history.

Other than the gauge cluster, the interior is essentially the same as any other Fusion, with a few exceptions. There's a 110-volt power outlet and all seats are covered with an eco-friendly fabric made from post-industrial, 100-percent recycled materials. Up front, those earth-friendly seats are deep and comfortable, and the rear seating area has adequate passenger space. Several useful storage bins make it easy to stash items like a wallet, sunglasses and keys. Ford's voice-controlled Sync system is standard; a Sony sound system, navigation and Sirius Travel Link are available as options.

Badge of quiet pride

It's hard to distinguish a hybrid Fusion from a gas-only model. But there are a few exterior design tweaks that set it apart. Some automakers feel the need to plaster the word "Hybrid" all over their gas/electric vehicles, but the Fusion uses only subtle badging, with a little green leaf on the lower part of both front doors and on the trunk lid. Fusion Hybrids also get 17-inch alloy wheels that are not available on the rest of the range.

The car looks good precisely because it doesn't advertise its presence. Shoppers seeking a standalone hybrid might not like this – they won't get "credit" for their green ways from friends and neighbors. For those who want a hybrid sedan that just gets on with it, the Fusion Hybrid works perfectly.

One more thrill and one more dollar saved

The Fusion Hybrid is rated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at 41 miles per gallon in the city. Hybrids typically do better in this test, because low-speed driving allows the electric motors to take over more often and that means using less gas. With a combined city/highway EPA rating of 39 mpg, the Fusion Hybrid beats the Camry Hybrid for fuel economy, which is estimated to get 33 mpg in combined driving. The combination of gas and electric motors means the Fusion Hybrid is quick off the line, with more muscle left in reserve for passing. The Fusion Hybrid's meager thirst nearly matches that of the smaller Honda Insight. One reason for this is that the Fusion Hybrid can run in electric-only mode at speeds of up to 47 mph. It's possible to "trick" the car into running on just its batteries by lifting off the accelerator and then pushing it again lightly. This is especially easy to do on major boulevards where the speed limit is 35 or 40 mph.

However, Ford engineers haven't focused solely on great economy. The Fusion Hybrid also has excellent driving dynamics. This is largely due to the fact that the base Fusion is nimble and even somewhat fun to drive. The extra weight of hybrid components like batteries and electric motors could squash the fun out of any car, but thankfully, the Fusion Hybrid retains the nimble personality of its gas-only sibling. There's also plenty of power when required. The combination of gas and electric motors means the Fusion Hybrid is quick off the line, with more muscle left in reserve for passing.

Not all hybrids are created equal

There are less expensive hybrids than this Fusion (MSRP: $28,100), but that's hardly the point. Smaller cars like the Honda Insight cost less (from $19,800), but they are less car for the money. The Camry Hybrid is also cheaper ($26,400), but the Fusion Hybrid is more fun to drive and has features like carpeted mats, Bluetooth, voice control for a connected phone and iPod, plus a six-disc CD changer as standard.

One alternative to the Fusion Hybrid comes from Ford's other brand. The Lincoln MKZ is also offered in gas/electric form, but is far more expensive (from $34,225). The most obvious competitor is the Toyota Camry Hybrid, despite a tangible difference between the two. The Fusion is sharper handling and has arguably more style than the Camry. Nissan's Altima Hybrid ($26,780) is a little roomier inside, but, like the Camry Hybrid, falls far short of the Fusion's impressive 41 mpg in the city and 39 mpg combined.

When picking a hybrid, fuel economy is usually a primary concern. Hybrid SUVs may not do much better than 20 miles per gallon or so, but that's pretty good for a large vehicle. Mid-size hybrid sedans should have an EPA estimate in the high 30s at least. The ability to run in all-electric mode is also crucial, because that will net the most fuel savings. Because hybrids are typically more expensive than their non-hybrid counterparts, look for one with a lot of standard features. Big-ticket items like a navigation system will still be optional, but seek out nicer wheels and some upgraded electronics as part of the standard hybrid package.

It's rare to find a car that combines performance, style and great fuel economy so effectively, but that's exactly what the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid does. It's great looking, handles better than most other hybrids, yet delivers when it comes to sipping fuel. For those who actually enjoy driving, but still want the most miles per gallon, the 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid is the best of both worlds. Never before have fun and frugality been blended so well.

2011 Ford Edge

Ford Edge

    LOCATE DEALER
    HOT DEALS

Ford are considering following General Motor’s example and develop their next rear-wheel drive global platform here in Australia.

falcon1.jpg

Australian engineers will develop the drivetrains for the new Mustang as well as Fairlane-based long-wheelbase limousine platforms for the Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car which are scheduled to arrive by 2011.

Perhaps most promising of all is that Ford are considering manufacturing these vehicles here in Australia and then exporting them to the Middle-East and parts of Europe. Only a few days ago it seemed Ford Australia were in dire straits, and now their outlook could not be more promising.

Ford Australia boss, Tom Gorman has talked down the proposal, assuring the public that these decisions are still very much in their early stages and nothing is certain.

“We have a fantastic rear-wheel-drive product. The product development team globally understands how strong our product is. We are actively in discussions about that but it is still very, very early days. There have been no decisions made whatsoever.”

He continues by explaining that the discontinuation of the iconic inline-six will further progress Ford Australia toward becoming a more global brand.

“It brings us one step closer to better integrating with Ford’s global product development. The longer that we remain an ‘orphan’ in terms of our technologies in Australia, the less likely we are to fully participate in all the activity that’s under way in rear-wheel-drive.”

The new global Ford 3.5-litre V6 which is to replace the inline-six will be introduced on the Falcon in 2010. In base form, the engine produces roughly 196kW of power but a twin-turbo performance version could produce 309kW of power and 542Nm of torque. Ford says the twin-turbo can combine V8 performance with V6 fuel consumption.

The plans also stipulate that the Mustang may be engineered and sold locally which – if approved – will be the fastest car Ford Australia has released, powered by a 309kW twin-turbo V6.

All petty rivalries aside, both Ford and Holden Australia are doing us proud by producing vehicles of global quality as well as increasing global recognition of our capabilities in both manufacturing and engineering.

2011 Ford Focus rendered speculation and Pictures

2011 Ford Focus rendered speculation

The face lifted Focus range has reinvigorated the popular hatch, headlined by the aggressive performance flagship RS model, although this merely preempts the arrival of the all-new Focus due in 2011

The new model will take Ford’s kinetic design to its limits, offering a truly global package with international style, highly-efficient powertrains and innovative green technologies.
These artists’ renderings provide a glimpse at what we may be able to expect from Ford, combining the current kinetic motif with the “Bold American” theme currently employed by the Fusion and Edge crossover SUV.
Under the “One Ford” product strategy devised by CEO Alan Mullaly, the next-generation Focus is being designed and engineered by Ford of Europe which has been assigned the role as the brand’s centre for global small-car development.
This strategy has been formulated with the aim of reducing initial costs and improving manufacturing economies of scale by employing a single design for all markets rather than introducing separate designs for specific regions.
The car will likely debut Ford’s new C3 architecture which has been built as a versatile platform to suit a wider range of vehicle types including compact-crossovers and people movers, along with eventually forming the underpinnings of sister models such as the Mazda3 and Volvo range.
The new Focus will be the make-or-break car for Ford as the economic slump will no doubt eventually take its toll on what has so far proved to be the most resilient US car maker.

Custom Ford Fiesta models invade Sin City

Perhaps the biggest (or smallest) champion car for Ford this year has been the 2011 Fiesta. The fizzy little sedan and hatchback duo are drawing a lot of attention to Blue Oval showrooms, and thus, Ford has a whole flock of Fiestas represented at this year's SEMA show.

A host of aftermarket tuning companies have put their touches on the pint-sized Ford – modified Fiestas from 3DCarbon, H&R Springs, Steeda Autosports and FSWerks are all on hand, just to name a few. Our favorite, though, might be the automaker's own Ford Racing Performance Parts Fiesta, powered by a modified version of FoMoCo's 2.0-liter EcoBoost four (bumped to 2.3 liters), that produces a staggering 350 horsepower. We'll take two.

SEMA 2010: Ford's 2011 Mustang

We've seen Explorers, Fiestas and even an F-Series Super Duty, but of course, the car with the biggest showing on Ford's SEMA stand is the Mustang. In fact, the automaker is displaying nine examples of its pony car, showing a wide range of customization options.

Starting things off in-house, Ford has provided us with a glimpse of what is possible through its Vehicle Personalization program. The VP 'Stang wears wheels, rear window louvers, a rear spoiler and a handful of other items that are all for sale at FordAccessoriesStore.com. Besides the in-house car, Ford handed the Mustang off to Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell, MRT, Creations n' Chrome, Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, Mobsteel, Raceskinz, Street Scene Equipment and Tjin Edition.

Funk Flex, who at this point probably holds an executive position back in Dearborn, designed his Mustang for rapper Snoop Dogg. MRT envisioned the car as a tough street warrior. Creations n' Chrome partnered with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness for breast cancer, and painted its car Pink Chrome. Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords stays true to its name, adding a supercharger kit to the 5.0-liter engine under the hood. Mobsteel goes a different, yet similar route, by turbocharging a V6 example.

This is only a small taste of what the assorted tuners have done to the 2011 Mustang, and that's only limited to what Ford has in its display.

2011 Ford Start Concept Cars MEGA CITY

For parts of the world that are growing increasingly urban, the future of the automobile looks small, green, smart and fun in the eyes of Ford designers who created the Ford Start Concept. It's a design vision inspired for the transportation needs of the world's mega cities.
2011 Ford Start Concept
Making its global debut at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show, the Ford Start Concept is more than simply a design exploration into the feasibility of a small car. It also demonstrates how Ford will extend the promise of its EcoBoost engine technology story even further – previewing a fuel-efficient petrol Ford EcoBoost engine with just three cylinders and 1.0 litre of displacement, yet the power of a larger, 1.6-litre I4 engine.
Start Concept was inspired in part by a growing global trend toward mass urbanisation. The world's top 20 mega-cities are home to consumers whose needs, attitudes and expectations may have more in common with mega-city dwellers in other nations than with their own countrymen. While these consumers share the challenges of living in an urban society, they also increasingly seek out product solutions that bring the best the world has to offer.
When it comes to designing eco-friendly urban transportation, automakers have tried just about everything. They've drawn up bubble cars, autonomic pods, even semi-robotic unicycles. Ford however, has decided against cribbing from the pages of a sci-fi novel and opted for something far more conventional: a three-door hatchback. Specifically, the Start concept the automaker unveiled at the 2010 Beijing Auto Show.
“Our ambition was to design a car that transcends the practical realities of commuting in these mega cities, and goes beyond just dressing the technology,” said Freeman Thomas, design director. “We wanted to design a car you would also love.”
There’s little not to love about the Start, Ford’s first concept in three years, and the first developed under the global auspices of the “One Ford” mantra. Although the Start shows traces of Ford’s “kinetic” design language, its rounded form is much more elegant. Angular edges are limited to both the shoulder lines and the slender, LED-powered headlamp and taillights. Thomas says the Start features “refined surface language” usually found on premium vehicles, and we’d agree -- from some angles, the Start almost resembles Audi’s new A1.
Function doesn’t necessarily follow form, however, as stylists made an effort to improve the car’s aerodynamics. Many surfaces, including the windshield, side window glass, and center stop lamp, are flush with the body, while an underbody aero pan further reduces the Start’s drag. The interior is as equally stylish and functional -- the floating dual-cockpit dashboard lends a sporty look, but a conceptual infotainment system, billed as “MyFord Mobile,” incorporates a multi-function touch screen to simplify the center stack.
While the Start’s form allowed Thomas’ team to flex their creative muscle, the mechanicals beneath the car are firmly rooted in reality. Ford’s teased the idea of an EcoBoost three-cylinder, but this is our first look at such an engine. The turbocharged, 1.0-liter I-3 utilizes a cast-iron block, but a cylinder head and sump fabricated from cast aluminum. Ford won’t talk power figures, saying only that early tests suggest it can produce power on par with its 1.6-liter I-4, which is rated at 120 horsepower in North America. Power is routed to the front wheels via an ordinary five-speed manual transaxle.
Created by a global team of designers working at Ford's Irvine (Calif.) Strategic Concepts Group Studios, this sporty, futuristic concept combines near-production Ford EcoBoost engine technology and slick aerodynamics in an environmentally friendly package with reduced greenhouse emissions, all wrapped in an exciting design.
Ford says the EcoBoost three-cylinder would allow the Start to emit well under 100 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer. That’s not a crucial figure here in North America, but it is in Europe, where Ford sells the similar-sized Ka. We doubt the Start is destined for production anytime soon, but look for the turbo-three to land in some small European Fords in the near future.
“The Ford Start Concept is the first pure concept we’ve developed under our ‘One Ford’ approach,” says Moray Callum, executive director, Americas Design. “J Mays, Martin Smith and I worked with Freeman and his team to deliver a concept that visually reinforces the fun to drive element that is at the core of the Ford brand DNA.”
