I am now waiting for October 1st, attorney said that they will send an inquiry through AILA. I am not sure if I should call USCIS now, as they tell me to call after 60 days based on the response they sent to the inquiry that was made by the local senator.
I also got a response for my 09/04 Infopass appointment today. It says "Based on the documentation you have provided, your cases qualifies for expedited processing. You should hear back from us within 45-60 days. If you do not hear back from us within 60 days, please call us back.
I have no clue what that means? I have not provided them any documentation in the last 2 years. LUD on my case is from April 2009 (when I filed for AP/EAD) and status update is for the document they sent to me for FP in September 2007.
I filed for AP last year in May 2008 and didnt see any updates at that time either. I have no idea where my case is or whats going on with it. Let's hope for the best.
Again, congrats to you. After 16 days of pain and agony, I am glad you got your GC today, you can now relax and move on with your life. You too have been great support in the last 3-4 days.

Yes many employer will open a new company but given a choice to follow the law or open a new company and start from scratch; I am sure most will follow the law. Also how many new companies will they open. If everybody files a complaint every time someone is exploited the employer will have to either stop exploiting or stop doing business.
Just because your employer is willing to steal your money does not mean you let them do it. Just because a person is ready to make you a slave does not mean you should become a slave. Let them do what they want to do, we all should do what is right and what we have to do.

If my GC gets rejected 3-4 years from now for any reason (however weird or stupid) then I don't think I would go through the whole GC nightmare once again.
Since this is my last GC application, I would rather use whatever benefits I have to the fullest then simply waste them. ;)

Guys, Oct'08 VB is out and dates are retrogressed again? How on the earth dates can go back. This is the most stupid system I have ever seen in my life.
Don't they have computer in USCIS? If not, I can send some money to buy few computers so they can process EB3-I applications.

I believe we have rights. If the million of illegals think that they have the right to stay, why can't we? Obviously, everyone has their own experiences in the US. Some of you might not have hit the "boiling point" yet and so you might not have felt the heat!!! There are people who carry the entire family here and they depend on the GC to make a difference in life. You are you and you are entitled to your own interpretation as to whether or not this is RIGHT or Privilege. I believe what LogicLife said is very true as Immigration is a movement in life. If you don't believe, you probably don't deserve it when someone said you don't. I've been here for 12 whole years, got married and bought a house. I have been paying colleage tuition, taxes and my duties as an entity in this society. I deserve a green card.

PMP is a good idea. But is that what you exactly want to do? Figure out. I work with PM's every day and in my company it is a pre requisite for every PM to have PMP on Resume before the Hiring Managers look at their Resumes. How ever, I personally feel that the project manager's job is mundane. Some times I even wonder whether these guys know any thing other than putting some M$ docs and ppt shyt together (doesnt hold good for all PM's) with all the info they gleaned from their managers and others in project. Is it that difficult? May be, this is happening in my company only or I am being blind because they do get paid in 6 digits. But it will definitely help you grow in an organization esp in the managerial ladder. You gotta lose something to get something. I am seriously considering taking up GMAT prep but my situation holds me back as my wife cant work.. blah blah.. What ever.

Yes it applies for IV too. We have a handful of monthly subscribers because everyone wants the other person to pay for it. If the problem needs to be solved, each victim needs to fight this problem.

As I had lots of written evidence so it took me close to 30 minutes to prepare the everything but normally it should take no more than 10 minutes. The DOL, Wage and Hour division, takes care of all the such complaints and the identity of the filer is kept confidential to the fullest extent provided by law.
The Form for instructions for filling the complaint & the form is available at http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/forms/fts_wh4.htm list of H-1B willful violators is available at http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/immigration/H1BWillfulViolator.htm and the list of debarred employer's is http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/immigration/H1BDebarment.htm

I spoke with an investigator (who was very professional and courteous) who told me that even though FedEx shows the package was delivered they cannot locate it. The investigator asked me to resubmit the package which I did the next day. I received a letter from the DOL after 2 weeks saying my complaint has been received; they even assigned me a complaint number which I can use to track the progress of the complaint by calling their office. The DOL combined mine and my coworker's complaint together and assigned both of us the same complaint number; my coworker filed his complaint few days after I had filed mine.
