I have received email notification of RFE last friday April 3rd. I am waiting for actual RFE mail notice. I talked to IO and she said mail notice sent to my home adress? Typically, how long it takes to receive mail notice? 1 week or 2 to 3 days?

I was thinking if people feel they are getting something (for those that don't feel they are getting anything from contributing to IV even though IV is trying to do so much for people) like a WII at a chance of some small amount of $10...i'm thinking of how people play the lotto..put in a small amount of money and hope for something big. more people may put in a small amount of money to get something they like...

I just checked the USCIS website and found out that the approved H1 which has been reopened has a Last Updated date of 09/30/2007....
09/30/2007 was a Sunday...why is USCIS working on the case on Sunday ???

It is a learning phase for everyone here at IV...
Before this issue was raised no one had heard about it....but now after 50 replies and 6000 views ..we have more insights regarding USCIS procedure...
I would encourage everyone to create induvidual portfolio on USCIS website and make sure you add every receipt you have ever received and set email update on the same that way you are aware of happenings on your case.
The way USCIS works, the benificiary is usually kept in the dark unless information is needed from the benificiary.
Live and learn...

If you have an older priority date (EB-2 or EB-3) such as 2004 or earlier, it would most likely be a waste of your time and money to file your adjustment now.
In any case, the initial filing would be outwardly denied and no immediate benefit would come of it. .
My lawer says the same thing too.. Also he says the other possibility is that USCIS keep aside these apps and these may end up getting transfered service center to service center like the old LC apps. not very sure how much he it make sense though

You said it. Some years ago people who filed in wyoming get lc in 3 months
and got GC in 1 year. I know a friend who completed the whole process in 11 months :)
What to do? This world is a big unfair place. we have to live with that I guess.
Congrats buddy ! Its quite ironic that there are some people who filed a few months here or there from your PD in 2000/2001 and are still waiting for their GC and I know a few people who filed for GC in 2003/2004 and got it in 2005.
The odds of getting lucky with USCIS are worse than hitting the jackpot .
