Ok, someone left a red saying "So you mean finding a loophole in the law makes you superior, even though you lie about your intention at your F1 stamping?".

talked to my attorney and he did get 1 or 2 applications back from USCIS. but he is not sure whether it is from July 2nd filers or after that.

One of my friends(who was in my company earlier) got his old H1 case reopened. He is not that worried as he already has left the employer and joined someone else.
This is little strange as USCIS is digging the dead.
I am keeping a close eye on my case which got approved in 03/2005 and has LUD of 08/2006. Seems like they opened the case earlier but I didnt notice it.

The company I work in is a medium sized business organization. My boss is a staunch republican. I hope to make him aware of these 2 bills and request him to write to the locol congressman and the senator. If we can all do the same then we can buil substantial momentum towards getting these 2 bills passed. Since most of the businesses have republican leanings and at some time have contributed towards the GOP in some way, their endorsements can have a major impact.
I have written to my local HOuse rep; no response from him.
I agree with Alabaman. We need to coordinate and do something. Waiting and watching will get us nowhere.

Hey GG - I did not take offense to your sentiments on B Com. What pissed people off, was your tone and disgust at the poor fellow and his qualifications, especially when you know little about his ability to carry out his job, or his background. In school, or on line -- he earned those degrees. Maybe he didn't have the financial resources to attend the best schools (I don�t know what is IGNOU). His employer has retained him, so perhaps he is good at what he does. He left his home, his family and traveled to some foreign shore to earn a living, not rob a bank. Show some respect. Anyway apologies for anything harsh I have said. Peace.
I assume you've likely never studied in India though. An bachelor's degree in engineering is not very expensive, if you have good grades.

I agree with most of things you said. By the way, I called the office of the Honorable Attorney General Alberto Gonzales today. I sent e-mail messages as well. Obviously I don't even ask about fixes since he is not supposed to have that power. However, I requested a timeline on when the EB3 I-485 cut-off dates are supposed to move ahead. That is something he does have power to do.
Regarding your conclusion on our local IT professionals, I am not sure if that's always the case. I hope you are right.

I agree that it is very important to clear what is "rihgt", "privilege" and "symphaty". I tried to do that several times before and in order to avoid any misunderstanding have quoted below a part of one of my messages. Please read it carefully.
"I do believe that I HAVE THE RIGHT to get my LCA adjudicated in 2-3 months time (OK, make it 6 months, having in mind you are dealing with an inefficient administration).
I do believe that I HAVE THE RIGHT to know in short term (2-3 months, not 3-4 years !) if I am eligible for permanent residency.
I do believe that I HAVE THE RIGHT to know how long (if approved) will take the I-485 process.
These are clear, simple questions that require clear, simple answers. Getting these answers (NO is also an answer) in a reasonable period of time is a right, not a privilege..."
Americans have the right to determine how many immigrants they need and how to handle this issue. But we have the right to follow clear and simple rules for that process. It seems to me that the way they currently handle the H1 immigrants has a lot to do with the "Las Vegas" type of business (gambling) - shall I get my LC approved, when will I get the LC approved, shall I get a GC, when can I get the GC etc. The rules change permanently and half a million hard working people are in limbo for a decade and more. That is not fair and this is what you have to explain to the Americans.
And, btw, if the local IT "professionals" you were debating with were so great, they would not be unemployed...

It is May 1st today, how much did we finally collect?
As of yesterday it was $ 107,246. Will update the action alerts tonight and then shut down the 150K drive.

not sure how to do this. can some one in this thread create a poll just for eb3-India just to see a ball park number of people waiting in eb3 india and for how long they are waiting (may be we can start from jan 2001 all the way till jun 2008). This atleast would give us an idea of how many IVers are waiting in eb3 queue..pls discard if you did not like this idea. thanks.

so those with substituted labor better hope it clears before april 2007, and they get to file i140 otherwise..they'll have to file a new labor..just hope DOL does not let them keep the old priority date..Im not being vindictive..just feel that its unfair that people buy labors for 20K and get green card using a shell company in 6 months.

Thanks for the additional information. In case 1 - can the applicant still retain the priority date if s/he wants to start a new GC process? In other words, does 6 year expiration have any effect on retaining PD?

1. Recapture lost numbers
2. Increase in visa numbers/yr
3. Remove dependent count

If it works the way it says, the EB-2 quota stay at EB-2 for oversubscribed country, then why there's no movement for EB-2 China? Something is not right.

I too had soft LUD's on Mar 26 and 27 and thereafter continuosly from 30 mar 2009 to 3rd Apr 2009 (total 7 days), this happenned after my reply to 485 RFE.
I didnt apply for EAD/AP or no other applications are pending except 485 . Recieved date is Aug 2, 2007 and My PD is NOV2004/EB3
Nembrask service center current processing date for 485 is 15 Aug 2007 , Looks like they are going through all the files in the order they recieved and pereadjucating each case else deniel letter.
